Replacing gear ratio's in transfer box

I have two transfer box's one that is 1.6 and a 1.2 ratio, the 1.6 is in a bad way on the out side so wonted to put the 1.6 gears in the 1.2. So wanted to find out how easy or hard it is to swap the gear ratio's?

Help will be much appreciated

depends on the similarity in age , and number of teeth on inut gear and center gear on intermediate cluster ,and dog teeth on hi/low gears as to what needs changing if you have both serial numbers i could tell you more
