At some point in the future it is inevitable that im going to come up against the EAS gremlin. I am thinking about replacing the EAS with a nice set of springs. Has anyone done this?

How easy was it?
Is there any improvement/detriment in ride quality or handling?
is there a specific system/brand that is better than others?

cheers

This comes up periodically. I wouldn't do it. For a start the P38 was never type approved for springs and apparently the suspension geometry doesn't work for springs as they would be too far inboard making it very unstable.

The EAS isn't that hard or expensive to troubleshoot and you'll be losing the flexibility that it gives you.

Just my 2 pence worth. People have done it and a few of them even swear by it.
