Had a recon LT77 (H suffix) from Ashcroft back in June, has been a fairly good box, I changed the oil in it a few months ago for some Difflock fully-synthetic stuff which made it a bit smoother, the ATF that came out was a bit darker and glittery then I expected for only having done <2000 miles though. Level is currently fine I checked it the other day.
Main issue I'm having at the moment is that when changing into 4th (mainly only really noticeable changing up from 3rd) there seems to be a resistance - hard to describe - and then it'll slide in. Doesn't always do it, sometimes it goes in smoothly, and (I think) it tends to be slightly more pronounced when it's been driven for a while, it's also quite stiff to push it out of 4th.
Is this likely something caused by the turret assembly or does it sound more internal? Always engages fine and never grinds or kicks in 4th - don't seem to get the same effect when changing down from 5th.
Only other gripe is 2nd is a bit of a pig sometimes, not very smooth and can often 'kick' when changing up from 1st. But I suppose 'smooth' can never really be put with 'LT77'
