assuming it should be near 0 ohms

thanks

REET earthling , bit er basics fer yer . . . .so yer know that its from fuse 23 and thet is 20amps ,so using erfs law un school kids maths [titter] v[voltairs ]= R [RESISTANCE IN EARTH OHMS]X I[AMPS] . . .SO 20AMPS DIVIDED BY 12 VOLTS [OR TOTHER WAY]=O.6OHMS OK IT WILL BE A BIT MORE THEN THAT AS THE 20AMPS ALLOWS fer v/drop and surge but it should give a rough idea . . . . .i'm ort ta pub :D :D :D

minge is kinda right. be worried about open circuit (infinity) means it's shagged. also be worried about short circuit (0 ohms), means it's shagged. for most accurate reading, try and get as close to the connectors onto the glass as possible, but this does mean taking off the rear door trim. (but you're going to have to anyway if it's knackered).
To take the trim panel off, three screws underneath door pocket, then gently pull.

landy luck to you

aye had a jolly old time with it. Had the rear trim off and got access to the connectors no probs, was getting quite a high value resistance across the copper connections on the window (Mohms). never had to deal with a shagged de-mister before so wasn't sure what the measurement should be. 12vdc is present.

now i,v had it off, the window change looks relativaly simple, oh well another trip the scrappy yard:(
