Good morning, all - I have already searched for information on this subject, with no positive result, so wonder if anyone can help, please ?

My freelander has just passed it's MOT, and with only one advisory - for weak bushes in the rear trailing arms (the forward bushes, where the arm connects to the chassis)

According to Haynes and Rave, it doesn't seem to be too difficult a job to do, pressing the old bushes out/in being the worst bit. However, Haynes mentions checking the condition of the bushes at both ends of the link, whereas Rave mentions the bush at the forward end ONLY - no mention at all of a bush at the hub end.

Just to complicate things further, I have seen polybush listings for both the arm and the hub !!

So, can anyone clarify the situation for me - are there bushes at the hub as well as at the forward end of the arm ?? I would have thought that if there were, they would be shown in Rave - or do I have too much faith in LandRover ?:D:D

Teddywood, was it possible to change the hub bushes with it still on the car, or did U have to strip it right down ??
