Just noticed that my FL leans to the off side from the rear. Tyres are correct & having measured from the ground to the top of the wheel arch there is a 1 inch difference. I checked my driveway with a spirit level which proved to level. I'm assuming the off side spring is weaker or knackered. Any advances on my prognosis?
How big a job are the springs?

you need new suspension, but you should do them in pairs, have you check the spring i have had one break before now but not on a freelander

Do you turn left into your driveway?

Yes.......why ?where you going with this? (think I know) 'cos I've just spent £160 today having just the offside rear spring replaced although I did ask for both rears to be replaced. They done just the off side but it still appears to be leaning!!

A few months ago I did have something done on the front near side that the indy thinks might explain this lean!

May have been just have been the lean as you turn but if you have now changed one spring, who knows.

I shall turn right tomorrow onto my drive with much in-convenience as there is not actually much room to do so. For peace of mind I hope your assumption is right but I will not let SWMBO know as she was not too impressed with yet another bill (for her car!!) I might post a picture tomorrow as the lean is very apparent.

hiya

ive recentely found out one of my springs is broken and in a couple of weeks going to replace both struts and springs , inc the bottom bolts, i know it may be an overkill but really fussy and then replacing both sides complete dont have to worry .

suprised they only done one for u as surely they should have done the pair for u as requested

daft question but they did put the right colour coded spring in didnt they, the guys here will know far better than i will if a weak strut could also cause it if indeed both srings are ok

not looking forward doing it but know ive got to get it done

hope u get it all sorted out

gary
