Slowly starting to make preps for big adventure with family next year, got a J reg defender station wagon, but looking to blank out rear sliding windows as seals have gone and it would improve security. Trawling the internet and so far only found Foley's LAnd Rover that seem to sell the blanks that blank off the entire side panel. I have seen pitures though of some blanks that seem to fit into the existing area for the windows, could any one let me know where abouts I could get hold of these type of blanks. THanks Lew

Im pretty sure they do fit a 110 so yes, you are wrong :D

This is the best and cheapest way to get shot of your windows. The only other reasonable alternative is to just get a set of window grilles to fit inside or outside of the windows. coupled with some black out stuff it should be fine. This gives you the option to vent the back if needed.

Yup, 88" Van side panels fit in place the rear section on a 110 CSW :) Might need to drill a few holes but other wise they fit fine :D

Thanks for the advice, trying to decide what will be best, having spoken to someone they reckon its easier to replace the whole window than try replace the seals as the glass never goes back in, what is every one elses experience on trying to change the seals.

Just picked up a 110 CSW and want to do exactly this. Located in Hampshire so if anyone can point me in the right direction.

The vehicle is for a search and rescue team.

Met a guy in Mongolia recently doing a round the world trip and he'd turned his rear windows into side lockers, made for really good storage, maybe something to consider?

They are a genuine landrover part. My landy was built by Landrover special vehicles and left the factory with them fitted.

They occasionally come up on ebay and CWS (Colin White) in Glastonbury occasionally get em in stock.

series side pannels will definately fit a deffender i saw it done at green brothers the other day took the lad 20 mins to do the swap over :D:D:D:D

Thanks for all the help. As soon as things start warming up I think that we will be going for the panels.

Thanks for the advice so far. Jake down at CSW sorted us out with a couple of 88" panels of which one was fitted to our vehicle today but we have come across a problem so are holding off fitting the second panel until we have a solution.

The problem related to the rear seat belts and how they now attach?

If anyone can offer some advice I would really appreciate it.

Regards,

Simon.
