Hi - I recently changed my rear shocks to SuperGaz type.
For the upper mounting the rear shock came supplied with two tapered half bushes, I inserted them into the eye of the shock, bolted it all up and have experienced no problems.
But, I noticed that on the old shocks that I threw away, there was a central metal ferrule that went through the centre of the old bushes.
No metal component was supplied with my new shock and it seemed like a tight enough fit, but should I have salvaged this old ferrule and somehow fitted in with the new bushes?
First time I have done any suspension work so maybe I cocked up!
Look forward to your advice guys.
Pete
