As with many other Discos of this era, my rear windows have stopped working. I've read about the usual 'dry solder' fix but when I opened my glove box to remove the PBC, I was kinda surprised to find it's not there

Can't find a reference to this in my workshop manual and wondered if anyone knew of there being an alternative location or type of controll unit?

Perhaps I could have worded that better. I got as far as removing the glove box but the gubbins back there look different to pictures I've seen (the link you pasted is one of the references I've studied).

Spent the last 2 days fixing small niggles (replacing the drivers window channel, hub bearing adjustment, EGR removal, new expansion tank) and wanted to squeeze in one last job before losing light.

I'll have another look tomorrow, maybe there's a cover I've not correctly identified. Or more likely I'm suffering a dose of stupidity.

Hi dufty

just incase you don't know there is a multiplug inside the pillar between both side doors for the central locking and rear windows can't remember which is which as there is two on each side ( multiplugs ), you can get to them by removing the plastic panel on the post and seeing if its just a dirty or lose connection, hope this helps.

Cheers rattler, I'll check that out before I destroy the PCB with my 'haven't soldered since school' efforts! Assuming I ever find the bugger that is ^^

Marvellous. I have ABS so there's an extra board. Lucky me has to remove 1/2 the dash just to get the window board out! A simple job turned into a bit of a nightmare. May suffer the lack of windows a while longer!
