Its been a while, 3 and a half months of trouble free motoring in fact(!) but I think the much dreaded time has come to fit new core plugs to the rear of the block/head.
Im losing coolant which is running down the outside of the bell housing, over the last couple of years ive had to replace the core plugs on the front and sides of the block so can only assume that the previous owner ran it for some time on just water.
Before I set to work on pulling the engine, is there any possibility the leak could be coming from something else? Other than HG of course.
The matrix hoses are fine, replaced them recently.

If I do need to lift the motor out, would I get away with fitting new core plugs with it raised and still suspended on the lift - or do I need to buy an engine stand?
Im guessing it will swing somewhat..

Any other advice, as always, appreciated :)

youd need engine out to replace plug and if youve replaced the other 4 then it would seem likely rear needs doing ,lack of antifreeze is the cause, you can fit plug whilst engines suspended
