rear bumber query

Hi Guys, bit of a dilemma i need clarifying.

The wife would like me to fit some reverse sensors on the 02 freelander, so i took it to the shop and they said it's a bit of an issue as there is a metal plate behind the bumper part where is says FREELANDER. So they said that they will need to fit another kind of device which is more expensive.

Now i had an idea, what if i get an 04 rear bumper which already has the sensors attached and restyled rear lights?? will it just fit straight on and then sort the wiring and switch out?
Is it that simple or am i seriously deluded.

whoa whoa, it doesn't fit straight on at all, and there is a fair amount of fettling to be done to make it fit.

somewhere there is a thread on the whole facelift issue including step by step instructions, seem to recall you have to cut some of the body away to get the lights to fit in on the back. You will also need the lower trim for the tailgate as it is a different shape.
