Well managed to grab a spare hour on it today. Ordered new flexi pipes new nickel copper pipes. It will be a full brake pipe overhaul.

What type of jack are you using?
Did you use a jack pad like this? if not you may just be squashing the rubber on the car and the jack it pushing the side step.

I used a piece of rubber a wooden block on a trolly jack. Ive used another jack to lift support the wheel/ air bag just to be safe.
 
Brake lines down passenger side look ok. But now more concerned with bodywork. Where would I get panels from for these. The cover along the brake line was held on with some strange clips look like allen head/torx fitment but just pulled off.

L322 panels were always unavailable, but now there plenty on eBay, Famous Four, etc. LR probably knew they would rot, so hid them behind plastic !!
 
Ok new brakes lines all round fitted. Couple of expensive line clips needed. Bled the brakes front left, front right, rear left, rear right. Brake lights on dash ! drove car round yard Lights go off and stay off, But now the brake when first pressed goes to the floor slow then press again and its firm. Will it just be air in lines still and need bleeding again. Or is it somthing to do with abs module. Been told it might need a diagnostic plug in , to bleed air out of system. Need it sorting now get miss's off my case till it breaks again. I need a rest. Thank you.

great u got new lines in

hope u don’t mind me saying but when bleeding brakes should always start off with the furthest one away from the master cyl first, so if it’s on the drivers side u would start near side rear, offside rear, then front near side , then front offside

ref the ABS module indeed if u allow any air to enter it diagnostics are normally required to bleed it out

Think many of us use a pressure bleeder , this is the set up I’ve got so can bleed the brakes yourself, syringe to remove any old brake fluid from the master cyl, then the spanners that has a NRV inside so prevents air from being pulled back into the system

plus was the brake fluid u got brand new from an unopened container and does it match the specs as per JLR requirements plse , did u use something similar plse , , thks

many thks and likewise in only recently seeing them, there 6 x sided and like the idea that u can just lift the spanner up to undo the bleed nipple without having to take the tube off

made up the connections for the waste brake fluid container but then realised like a doughnut to put a small hole in the cap, otherwise with the pressure bleeder on it wouldn’t allow the air to come out and fill the bottle with fluid, doh

Thanks for reply . I use to do it furthest away on the older cars I do. But I read on here in online manual. To do passenger side front first then drivers front then passenger rear.
I.do like them spanners will have to purchase them.
 
You used to be able to get replacement bleed nipples with NRVs built in, as a direct replacement for the originals
but, I've not seen them anywhere for years.
