I didn’t imagine it!!!!! No d1 doesn’t.

They had them on fenders or 90/110's I think too, I'm sure standard practice is to just cut them off as they don't last and don't actually do much, especially if I use progressive springs on the rear! :)

LR used them so very soft springs can be used on the back, the ride height on my manual was hilarious with a load in the back, or a trailer.

Nitrogen charged IIRC some Citroen hydraulic suspension specialists can service them IIRC

Fitting Police spec springs helps a lot, i fitted a set just before i sold it, levelled the ride..

Aye she sat level with them..

Plymouth Blue 3.9 Manual with a Torquemax cam and big valve head it would light all 4 tyre in 2nd if the road was greasy.. 67k original miles too!!

Miss it to death, made a decent on it, the chap i bought it off was selling it due to divorce and ddn't want her getting it!! LOL

That's interesting, seeing as the Boge units are extinct now.
nb. LR reverted to softer springs once they had perfected their own handling kit/anti-roll bar fitment. Prior to that they had used a Harvey-Bailey system to counter roly poly complaints from customers. Before that the manuf. answer was simply stiffer springs

If you look at the inner shell of a Discovery (Tdi era) it is a Range Rover, same sills, same door frames same glass (doors and screen), inner wings etc.
The chassis differ from the 2-door in the area of the A-frame cross-member, (round not square) and the driver's side rear shock mounting is behind the axle on the 2-door. As far as I am aware the later A-frame cross-member is to make room for the 4-door shell so will fit the 2-door Range Rover shell.

The good news!

Spoke to my old man, and, it turns out, he has an early range rover chassis buried under 20+years worth of brambles that he took in lieu of payments for a load of welding work he did to a 2 door when I was a nipper! It's a bit crusty around the rear xmember, but fine really considering!

We hauled it out of its resting place with chains on the digger, and have strategically placed my shell ontop of it!

Moral of the story, always ask your hoarder Dad first, legend!! :)
