Radio Wiring issue

Hi sorry for taking the lazy way out but too many threads to go through,
I need help with a wiring problem, I've just replaced my Factory 6CD 2 Din unit with Sat Nav radio unit and thanks to all the help item on this site it all went to plan or so I thought. My problem is when I turn off the ignition the unit loses all its setting, I've check the ISO adapter and the mains and ancillary feeds match, so they must be different to the Freedlander connector can any one point me in the direction of a wiring diagram.

In the past, I have had to reverse the fixed 12v and the non-switched 12v feeds as some manufacturers wire them oppositely. In fact, some aftermarket wiring looms come with these 2 leads with bullet connectors, so they can be swapped. If I remember correctly, I think I had to do this on my TD4.

There is absolutely no risk in you doing this as they are both just 12v supplies, one switched and one permanent, normally red and yellow.

Yeah you'll need to find the permanent live feed rather than switched live feed. If it helps, on my pre-face lift freelander the permanent live is the purple wire!

^^^^this. issue normally appears on VAG cars (VW, Seat, Audi, Skoda etc) Cable colours on aftermarket iso are yellow and red if I remember correctly

Hi still do not have a fix but I've got the multimeter out so when I find time to look into this I let you know what I find.

Hi Finally got around to sorting this out and as suggested just reversing the red ( the switching live) and the Yellow/Red (memory Live) on the ISO connector resolved the problem, it appear even when there's a recognized standard we still do it our own way. Thanks for your help.
