radiator help

just had my (2000 V) TD5 back from garage, she's had a new thermostat,new water pump and a new radiator. She's been filled with red anti-freeze and now she overheats.

As I look at the back of the radiator there are two pipes going into the rad at the drivers side. Which pipe goes into which inlet on the rad. From the thermostat, does that pipe go into the upper or lower inlet.

Speaking to land rover in Elgin, i was surprised to be told 'NOT SURE REALLY'.

any help will do.

The pipe from the thermostat housing mostly goes to the highest part of the rad. That's why it's called the top hose. :bounce:

yeah but they're both at the bottom with one slightly above the other

Could just be pockets of air.

....which is always what's in mine with a Land Rover.

Likely to not be bled properly, they are difficult.

Haynes manaul or check pipes with another car. Very unlikely the pipework is incorrect tbh...

does the TD5 have those ****ty plastic bleed plugs? If so how many & where?

i know of only one on the top hose leading into the rad

I had a similer proplem i jacked the front up so the rad was the highest part and managed to get the air out ok and bobs ur uncle

i've already tried that and bob's my step dad. lol
