Hello ,how hard is it to replace the main shaft in the r380?,what parts are needed other than the main shaft and tc input gear? ,does anyone have a guide on doing it with or without photos? ,mine has a fair bit of play but is still perfectly drivable if you know how, but i am about to embark on a whole load of welding so wouldn't mind sorting this out while its out of action ,is this something a confident diyer can do an the bench? or is there a heap of special tools required?
cheers

hardest bit is removing seal collar ,r380 is easier than an lt77,tools needed are 10mm bihex socket ,10mm single hex socket ,32 mm socket and external circip pliers 5mm and 6 mm allen key and copper hammer , a few pullers and tubing to remove refit bearings, i use a press but bearings will tap on with right diameter tube

hi james do you know of any manuals:guides for doing it ?

lr manual might help but it uses their special tools
https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&r...-GC-18MaYJSPg&sig2=mKVyp80QboDVqSraEyUfcg,you could allways give me a call if you wanted any extra info
thats the one i just found looks fairly complicated i still have 4 months on my french mot so will be October by the time i start,i will be welding it first then taking the body off to clean and underseal it properly so could be a while before i call you, but thanks for the offer i will take you up on it when the time comes ,unless the shaft disintegrates before hand lol.
