Hi All,

I bought a 2nd hand valve block to rebuild a while ago and whilst replacing all of the O rings, I noticed that all of the airline collets were missing.

I know I could just pull them out of my existing block when I swap it over, but I'd prefer to have it all as ready to swap over as possible beforehand.

Are these the correct items?

Range Rover P38 EAS Air Suspension Airline 6mm Collet X5 - p38spares.co.uk

and if so, are they available cheaper? These seem very expensive!

Everything at P38 spares is expensive. If you want expensive look how much the same firm charges for them on Ebay. Hard to source sellers market unfortunately.

Yes, I had noticed that but I can't find anyone else that sells them. Are they the correct bits though, just out of interest?

Having acquired some collets (thanks Kurt), I just want to check how to fit them. I can't quite work it out from the pictures and diagrams that I've come across and given that I didn't take them out in the first place (my valve block is still on the vehicle), I want to avoid cocking it up.

Do they just press into the appropriate hole and end up resting against the uppermost o ring?

Something very odd going on with my existing EAS. I always thought the front os was a bit iffy, but playing with it this evening with EAS Unlock I found the rear os won't move at all. The solenoid clicks, just nothing happens. Doesn't go up or down. Weird.

Hi, yes, collets just gently push into correct hole in block and rest against upper o ring. Concerning your EAS issue I had the same problem with my front left, the car would move on command using EAS unlock suit and was able to get the three other corners to calibrate but front left would not move, was baffling me and others on here , I replaced both front sensors, valve block rebuild and new bags all round still nothing so as a last resort swapped out EAS ECU and now all good, not saying that is the issue with yours but that's the problem I had.
Paul.

Thanks for that Paul.

Yes, I remember your thread and was thinking of it this evening! I know one of my height sensors on the front is iffy at least, so that will be replaced as part of my overhaul. Will see what it does with the new valve block on and take it from there.

I don't get much time to tinker with it these days and it's not my daily driver at the moment so there's no particular panic, although I am starting to get withdrawal symptoms - it's been SORNed for over a year now (and I've STILL got to do the head gasket that I took it off the road for originally!)
