Hi Folks,

Looking to order up some new gaskets for my D2 roof rails and notice that there are upper and lower gaskets listed for each of the four corners.

Do I need to order two for each bolt as I just see the square gasket from the outside?

Where do the cut away shaped upper gaskets go??

Cheers

Dave...

AFAIK there is a sponge gasket only between the rail and the roof, because the rail foot bolts through the roof to an inner mounting.

Adhesive sponge gasket is CAJ100320.

Cheers Peter.

Have you any idea what this part is for the same corner then?? CAJ100350

They list an upper and lower gasket which confuses me?

I will just remove my rails and have a look now I know I can get them. Would be good to know why they list two though??

Cheers

I got that number mixed up. For reference...

Roof Rail Gasket - Rear Lower RH - Genuine Land Rover Part No.: CAJ100320

Roof Rail Gasket - Rear Upper RH - Genuine Land Rover Part No.: CAJ100340

I bought a set of gaskets from Craddocks after my respray. Spent a fortune and ages trying to get them to deliver the correct ones and ended up returning the lot when I bought G4 bars. When I get round to it, I'll make my own for a fraction of the cost with 6mm adhesive backed neoprene.

£3 or £30 - your call?

Now I have stopped looking at that giff...

They are listed as only 2 pound each with Rimmers, but the squae ones do look very simple. It was just the cut out shapes of the upper ones that have me confused?

I will remove the bars tonight and have a look. I held off ordering last night anyway.

Mine is a 2001 model if that shows on the Microcat by the way?

Cheers
