Can anyone shed some light on a starting problem I have ??

I have a GMC 6.2 V8 Diesel fitted into the Land Rover that I have owned for 5-6 years now. Had a lot of thing going on in my life over the last year or so and the car had been stood for about a year, It had always been run on B100 and that's what was in it when it wasn't used. After a day or so messing around with is and pulling fuel through I got it started and drained the fuel out and filled it with pump diesel. The starting problems carried on (but only when cold/first thing in the morning) and most of the time I would just give up and take the L200. Once I get it started it will start all day but will cut out if the revs get too low like coming to a junction and dipping the clutch the revs go so low the it cuts out.

So far I have :
1) Changed all glow plugs and fitted and override switch so I can get them really hot if needed.
2) Fitted a recon Injection pump.
3) Fitted a 12v inline fuel pump.

Next thing maybe is to test the compression on each of the pots, if is low will if affect the cold starting ??

Any help appreciated - before I through it in the bin !!!!
