Before spending £60 could somebody please confirm if FRC5566 is the correct front propshaft for my 1985 landrover 90?

i have an intermittent noise which can only be descibed as the noise a slipping fanbelt makes, today the noise was accompanied by a loss of drive and the truck kangaroo'd like a learner driver pulling away, a friend of mine pointed out that the front prop was wobbly where it slides in and out, do you reckon that could be the cause?

When i pull over or put my foot on the clutch the fault seems to sort itself out.... until next time, dropping down a gear seems to trigger it

it is if 4 cylinder engine and lt77g/ box,try in diff lock that weould rule out front prop with loss of drive issue, id look at t/box input gear splines ,see if hi low lever is fully engaged if loss of drive is a symptom

Thanks James, the input gear is good as i have just replaced the tx box with one from a discovery 300TDI (with the cross drillings)
When i click it from high to low it seems to click in nicely.

The front prop definitely needs replacing anyway so i guess that would be a good place to start

It's a real shame really as i love the truck but this constant problem is making me hate it too.
