I must say that being on this forum for a while now i have seen a lot of people complaining about the TD5 transit **** they but in the new defenders if you can get the newest poss 300tdi which is about 1998 it will probably run a lot longer than the td5 because if im right in saying how they placed the cyclinders they suffer with over heating on the 5th iv herd.

anyway besides the point you will always get cars motorbikes houses that are all over priced and some mug will buy its just a case of time......

The td5 is fine they dont have td5in the transit its the ford transit tdci they fit since 07 plate . Cant say ive heard of over heating on the td5 much the opposite they run too cold . Would take a td5 over a 300 all day long:mad::mad:

From what I can see on new car depreciation rates the defenders a bit of a bargain.
Yes it's going to depreciate like a git, but from what i can make out compared to any other car on the road it'll depreciate slower. For example compare a mitsi l200. Costs about the same as a fender depending on spec. What's the fender going to be worth in 5 10 20 years. And what's the mitsi going to be worth in 5 or 10 years. By the age of 20 the mitsi will have been recycled into a million tin cans and the fender will still be noisily plodding along.
Strangely they don't include defenders in the figures they calculate for depreciation of every other car on the road. Don't know why.
Cheers. John
