My lass gets ****ed off when the landy breaks down...which has been loads of times in the past two years and tends to be when we are away.....like the time my desiel pump inspection cover came loose and left a rainbow around the car in ambleside...needless to say it was the lakes and ****ing down so we had an couple of hours of wetness... she was not happy and i thought that a little harsh. In fairness on the same trip my drivers window wiper flew off in the pitch black and ****ing rain on the A69 but i did point out that its great that the passenger one fits and you would not be able to do that on alot of cars;)

Anyway she has grown to love it now (£3,500 later)

1989 Deender 90.

Suspension

Tow an unbraked 3/4 tonne trailor alot for work and have around 500kgs of kit in the back of the landy all the time (work again) (unloaded it the other day and was like **** off a shovel!).

Rather than wait till it is fooked completly which does add to the fun at times:) and as it is my work horse and i am self employed I wanna change it now. Plus can offset it against me tax bill so rarther on my landrover than in the greedy bastards coffers!

Am thinking terrafirma medium springs and shocks...no lift or nowt fancy. Anyone got these? I wanna stiffen up a bit and i guess have one eye on an overland adventure in the future...but as i drive it alot a dont wanna be thrashing my piles everytime i go over a north east pothole.

I guess £300-£400 is me budget but wanna replace all the bits around it...like the turret rings etc (not sure what else is worth doing at the same time?)

Any advice would be great.
