Powerfold Mirrors

Hi all,
my driver side power fold mirror will go out but not back in again (makes a rattling noise) the passengers side works fine. Somebody has suggested that you can re-calibrate your mirrors and that this sometimes clears the problem.
Does any one know if this is correct and if so how it is done.

fold it out manually and it should go into sink with the other one, but it may be damaged
so have a look at it first take the cap off from underneath
