So as i posted yesterday the gearbox on my TD5 had a leak and could possibly need replacing. If it does i will be selling the car as i wont have the time to wait and get it repaired. I will list the details of the car and if anyone is interested you can just message me. I have the car booked in to be checked next week so will know by Wednesday if she will be going.
Its a 2001 Discovery TD5 ES Auto
Around 10 month MOT
Approx 90000 miles
Located in Leeds
-Engine runs great, starts on the button everytime and pulls well.
-Does have a small water leak
-Ace is fitted but has been disabled by the previous owner, dash light doesnt come on
-Suspension is good, raises and lowers fine, and doesnt drop when stood
-Heated front screen doesnt work, checked and have power to the connectors at either side of the screen
-Drivers heated seat doesnt work but passenger one does
-Front electric sunroof works, the rear has had the motor removed by the previous owner. do get some leaks if the car is stood in very heavy rain
-Three amigos have come on, think its the drivers front hub.
-Brakes are good and recently had new rear pads fitted.
-Tyres are all good including the spare which is brand new, all matching.
-Bodywork is generally good, but would need a new passenger rear quater from previous damage. was like this when i bought it and i just havnt had the time to source and fit a new one.
-Interior is generally in good condition, full cream leather and 7 seats.
-Cruise control works
-All electrics other than mentioned work
The car was categorised and is on the register for the damage on the rear quarter, will post more details when i dig the paperwork out. this was before my ownership.
I have listed pretty much every fault i can think with the car, and it makes it sound worse than it is. The car was great until the gearbox problem. And most of the faults are normal issues with these vehicles. It Drives lovely, the engine pulls really well and is very quiet. I would have kept the car for a long time if i didnt have this gearbox problem, but if its terminal then i just cant do that.
I really dont know where to price this so if anyone is interested just make an offer.
