hi there,
After searching and reading Busterbus’s “how-to do” , I’m planning to change all the bushes on my 1998 Disco 1. I’ve got myself a complete kit by Polibush for Panhard rod, radius arms and rear link rods. Only problem I can foresee once I get down to tackle the job, is how to remove the old original bushes. Is it realy so hard to get the old ones out…? Buster mentioned burning out the rubber and hacking away at the ring or using a big press. Can’t the dam rings just be tapped out the same as the central piece ?? I’ve not got a press and I hate the idea of taking down the radius arms and not being able to get the old bushes out easily. Any suggestions will be welcome.

I use a hole saw and cut through the rubber then put a hacksaw or the bandsaw through and trim through the other sleeve. It then falls out with a little tap.

thanks guys.... lots of ideas !!! I think I'm going to try Greenhornet's idea first, with two sockets an a big G clamp. If thats no good or they are rightly stuck, I'll get on to the chisel idea....:D
thank for all the ideas
