plans not evil just plans

as some of you may be aware i am planning to turn my 109 into a bit of a special, i plan to remove the rear tub make a frame and have a flat bed/tray back, also i am thinking of replacing the front wings with defender items (for the arches)

i would like your thoughts on this as i am not 100% sure which way i am gonna go yet

Why the wings? If you want the extended arches, why not just attach extended arches to the series ones?

my wings aren't in the best condition and i plan to fit a tdi and defender rad so i was gonna chuck a defender front end on

ffs, if yer gonna bastardise it like that, just buy a 110.

i reckon yu should do it jus as yu want.if it gets a bit of offroad use i would make the tray finish inline wi the bak of the wheels,leavin ya wi no overhang.

What are going to use the Landy for? Is it going to be an off road play thing, a load carrier, or a bit of both? If it's an off-road toy your building then what about buying an MOT failure 200tdi Disco with good running gear and chassis, remove that ugly bodywork and put it where it rightly belongs (on a scrap heap), graft on the front end of your series, chop the rear overhang off the chassis and make up a tray back to suit.

Sounds like a much better plan!
