P38 yay or nay

I've spotted a nice looking P38 4.6HSE that needs a bit of TLC but mechanically I have been assured is sound, i.e head gaskets done rear airsprings replaced and new compressor... Its the right colour combination for me and the missus likes it (bit posher than the disco lol) is it worth the gamble? I'm a sucker for a V8 I'm afraid

if its cheap enough and you can do the work required then go for it.if you can drive it take it for a good run 10 miles at least to get it hot,push every button if some dont work can you live without those things working? read thro the range rover forum to get some idea of what goes wrong and what else to look for,if you do buy it theres plenty of help in there to get it fixed,there great cars when working good but can be an absolute bitch when not

HOBBY ! More of a complete new way of life ........

Had a P38 4.6 myself and what a motor when running right but in the 12 month I had it I wished I had never seen the god damn thing.More problems than a woman with permanant PMT would I have another NO CHANCE.
