Hi chaps AND ladies,
Has anyone got the Mitsubishi Shogun 4M40 engine fitted in there P38 or a classic which has the Mechanical pump, i am thinking of having it done, it is the 2.8ltr turbo diesel and am led to believe this drives well in the P38, but i need to make sure as it will be costing £4.000 complete, which is around the same price as a new V8 engine as mine has the porous block. So anyone who knows anyone or anything please let me know. The company who do this, is Stanton 4X4.:)

Have you tried ceramic block sealer on your V8? A mate of mine had a porous block on his big block Chevy motor and this stuff sealed it and sorted the problem.
Moroso 35500 - Moroso Engine Seal - JEGS

This is the stuff he used but you may be able to get something similar in the UK and companies such as Real Steel might be able to help.

As far as the conversion goes, I wouldn't do it as after spending £4k on it your car will be worth very little and will be really hard to sell in the future with that motor in it. I would fix your V8. Just MHO!

Thanks for the imput, i had a private message about the conversion, also telling me to leave it alone, I found Overfinch do a ceramic sealer for £17, cheaper than ebay then sell her and buy a L322, she is a good old girl and never given me much problem, only the dealer who make things worse and i always have to put the pieces right when i get it back, ya know, just the norm.
