hi new to the forum, have waited four years to get hold of a p38, wanted one for ages finally had one and love it, but i am desperate for a electric window panel, with sunroof. as mine is not working and the warm weather along with black leather has turned the rangey into a sauna on wheels. if anybody has a spare and willing to sell please let me know, preferably close to cardiff or swansea. in on junction 36 M4 but will travel east or west

Here is one on Fleabay but there are others nearly always for sale on there and usually reasonably priced (IMO)

There's that guy breaking several P38's in Aberystwyth who lists on ebay regularly and seems fair with his prices. It's your best bet really as most sellers are regular P38 breakers and can swap out anything that is found to be not 100% and they aim to maintain some online reputation to keep continued sales.
But first are you absolutely certain it's the switch pack? If the lot isn't working it could just be the primary multi plug connection? I'm actually in Swansea and work near J46 by Morriston DVLA and you could try plugging my switches in to test your car as mine's currently disconnected loose as I've dismantled the centre console to check my airbag DCU.

The fact the panel is goosed globally suggests it's the primary power supply into the panel. I've just taken mine out of the centre console yesterday and now realise there's just one multiplug connector on the underside that mounts onto the main circuit the individual switches (including the sunroof) all run on. Do the mirrors adjust using the switches at the front of the panel?
It would seem you've got to check the feed into this lot first. I guess the fuses all checking out OK both under the underbonnet panel and the BECM side panel under the driver's seat? I haven't personally determined which fuses do what yet although know my way around all the relays...

I can also recommend promec near llantrisant. I try to do most jobs myself but when I'm stuck I go here.
