I ant to add some additional info to this thread after living with this modification and suffering with it until I got it right.
observations: where I cut the metal cooler lines with a grinder, is fine, but there is no flare for the oil hose clamps to bite onto
I used mega strong 'bolt head drive' clamps, manufactured by Jubilee. I had to use two of these at each join, because using one i found I still had leaks. Two is good.

so yeah, if attempting this, buy the correct clamps and double up. Otherwise you'll end up on the back of a recovery truck, like I did.
