 £350 to 900 my insurance has gone up from on the renewal letter, its been insured with lancaster landy specialist policy for 2 years, renewal letter says the broker has changed its criteria

had a quick go compare and confused, still comming in at around 800 cheapest, its unreal

not had an accident or claim or anything at all ,im a bit shocked , can some of you guys recomend/post up some landy friendly companies to try please
:(

33, nearly 4 years driving exp, 1 no claims, but last 3 years ive had classic insurance policy cars, that do not add a no claims, and the last 2 years of the lady policy is a specialst 2nd car policy, that doesnt give any no claims, but ive had nearly 4 years claim free driving

but the insurers can be contacted by insurers to check/varify that ive had them policys and not made any claims ? i need to get on the phone to companies and enquire about this ?

last year it went up a tad, like a lot of insurance for people, this year to that !!! after 4years my insurances should be going down and down not **** up !!! life is getting so expensive, what incentive is there to lead a decent normal hard working life these days and have things like cars, its a joke

Bloody hell, UK insurance is expensive now, I'm ancient with no claims in the last 30 years or so and my net premium was €324 this year full comp including breakdown assistance/recovery, Europe wide unlimited travel, wife named on the policy, any other driver over 25 at my discretion and towing cover. That's about £263 in Sterling.:D

I,m with Lancaster as well. Have been for yonks since my first Triumph Spitfire. Always found that when they quote a silly renew price, I search for a cheaper quote, then they match it. Bit of an annual dance with them. Think they hope you won't notice the new price, especially if you pay by direct debit. Im 48, no claims, clean license, and this year (renewed 2 months ago) it was about £700 for a 4.6 98 P38. Get some quotes then phone em up.

Someone has to pay Abu Quatada's legal bill and the hand outs to all the illegal immigrants:rolleyes: I could not afford to live in the UK, the level of taxes is just ridiculous:eek:

last year it went up a bit, but had an sp30 added, and couldnt find cheaper so went with it, but now up to 900 for no reason !!!!

only things i can think- is that i used the breakdown service twice in the year, and when i insured it i had it as a 2nd car, which ive since sorned and not insured on it at the moment, was thinking that when they re ran it through their system it comes up in not insured on my other car ?

cheapest ive found at moment is £460 3rd party with adrian flux, im just off to work so il continue searching tomorrow and see what else i can find

like you say...they maybe just hope you dont read or notice the letter, it says it will automaticly renew if i do not contact them

it is :( tax, car tax, car insurance, fuel tax highest in the world , energy bill;s prices always increaseing, food increasig///yet companies tightening up to the limit cutting wages/hours everywhere for everyone

how the f**k does this goverment expect people to survive and decent working people

yet all the jobless scumbags get free houses, immigrants getting benefits they send home and claim for 30 kids and god knows whats- those are the ones that should get barley anything

it makes your blood boil it really does, im well up for the stage this country reaches breaking point and the people rise up and dont take any more !

Try Admiral Insurance on line, they'll ask for your best quote so far and usually beat it.

Then try Elephant Insurance on line. Another part of Admiral so exactly the same application form just with a different coloured background. They'll ask you for your best quote so far and even if it's Admiral they'll usually beat it.

Then try Diamond Insurance on line. Another part of Admiral so . . . .

Then try Bell Insurance on line. Yet another part of Admiral so . . .

I have gone through this farce for the last few years. I want to stay with the Admiral group because I know that they'll pay out, after SWMBO ripped the side out of my last car, and (with a little nudge) they let me get it repaired where I wanted, not at one of their approved repairers.

Last year's renewal, for a multi-car policy was £1,150, I ended up paying £740.

All politicians regard workers as slaves to be milked of as much tax as they can get away with which they can they squander to bolster their ego's.
The good thing about France is that the French close down the cities when the politicians try to go too far.

just redone mine after it went up a ridiculous amount with Churchill from £680 last year to £980!

24yo, 6 Protected NCB, drive o/night, fully comp no excess, 10k pa and full legal cover with Ad Flux £540 - "ask for the 4x4 dept" seems to be their catch phrase. She sounded fit to. :>

Admiral were close behind at 590, Sainsbury's must have a deal on as they were £600. Then NFU had an excellent policy just bit pricey at £680.

Try Admiral. I' 48 clean license ,full no claims(10 yrs plus) living in Northern Ireland driving a 4.0 HSE 2001. Wifes on as named driver as well, her car is a VW 2.0 GT GTI golf and both cars on admiral multi car for £395 includes all the usual twiddly bits.:cool2::cool2::cool2:

Male 25, 5 yrs no claims, poor postcode, tpft at 560 with breakdown on a p38 dse job is vehicle technician with admiral
