As long as you know you're going to send a completely different message: black car with black wheels.

On rangerovers.net there are several users who have done that "mod" - most 16" rims with some kind of off-road tyres and that looks sort of ok - for a yellow, black, white or silver P38 - maybe even a burgundy or red - but not for a green or blue!!

With 18" Hurricane's - I would not do it - have them refurbished if needed - So I would stay with the "factory look" - yous looks very nice on your avatar picture - don't you like yourself? or do you want to change something for the sake of changing??
- mat black, glossy black or something in between?? Powdercoated??

As long as you keep the hurricanes I don't think you'll qualify for those "jobs", you need 22" and spinners!:D

Personally I think they'll look good. I've seen one on an american site (will try to find link) and remember thinking it looked quite smart. The chap had repainted the bumpers to gloss as his only other mod. Updated the car quite nicely.

Ain`t very up on tekernolegery, but can`t you do a "photo-shop" on piccies of your own car? get an idea with your own colour scheme.

yeah i was gonna say that, just put a picture into photoshop an paint the wheels using an overlay colour, then you can do any colour you like, just becomes a bit hard when you ask a paint place to make a colour from a pc program maybe?

Here ya go - this is "black rims" as the pimps call it! [nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgRQ1nGZiUI"]YouTube - Range Rover P38 Police LED SIren[/nomedia] I actually think it looks quite good, but if I was refurbing them I'd go for a 'dark chrome' finish I think, like the Linley RR's:
