Hi all...
Can someone help with this problem please...
I have been using my 2000 P38 4.0 auto daily until one day last week when it failed to start. I had just loaded the kids in the car to go away for the weekend, when I went to start it, it turned over but wouldn't fire. I tried a few more times and it kept turning over, but wouldn't fire and then the battery died. I unpacked the kids, chucked them in the other car and had a weekend away.
When I got back, I called the RAC who came out. He charged the battery and tried starting it. Same prob... turning over , but no spark. He checked the coil and it is not creating spark. He suggested Crankshaft senor. I had it towed to a local garage (my fathers body shop), and replaced the crankshaft sensor. This has had no effect what so ever. My father has checked fuses and relays the best he can, and there are no error messages on the console.
Does anyone have any ideas...
Thanks
Elton
