p38 ABS/traction fault, dianositic check showed a LH rear sensor fault, had this replaced, but did not clear fault, had wiring harness checked all ok, had ecu replaced, no joy fault still there, garage where work has been carried out is now got no idea whats wrong, need to get it sorted as its been in there garage now 2 months, now out of tax and mot, anyone help.

Well, it's got to be sensor, connectors, wiring or ECU. If the ECU you used as a replacement is a known good one, it leaves the sensor, connectors or wiring, all easy enough to check.
A long shot, but take the lid off the fuse box and have a sniff for burnt plastic, seems to be the fault of the month.
