Hi,

Cruise control not worked since i bought the car so after reading the comments on the forum decided to replaced the existing cracked vacuum pipes with new ones, but in doing so, i noticed that i may be missing a pipe with no idea where it goes to. Any help would be apreciated. I have a link showing the possibly missing pipework in question

How strange.

I don't think you're missing a pipe, but you seem to have gained a connection for one.

The attached link will take you to the page on the excellent rangerover.net about the cruise control fix.

Cruise Control Problems and Solutions

Did the replacement pipes you fitted cure the problem?

Thanks for that. Replacing the pipes haven't cured the problem yet although blanking the extra connection may stop extra air being sucked into the system allowing it to work properly. I'm now thinking that this cruise control part is from another range rover model

Blocked pipe off, didn't make a different so still no cruise control, but it did make a difference to the acceleration and gear changes (automatic). Seemed to be a lot smoother and quicker (although, that could of been down to being really cold this morning)

have a look at the cc vac pump its behind the eas box, take plug off and back on again. it does sometimes get bad connections and works intermittently!
