Just had the garage on the phone, they have fitted the remanufactured head, but now it wont start. Says there is not much diesel coming out of injectors, and battery hardly able to turn over fast enough and going flat very quickly. (- even with a new battery on it.)

Says there is also a 50amp fuse missing from fuse board under bonnet???
any suggestions gratefully accepted?:(

Cranking speed is critical on a diesel. If it does not turn over fast enough it will not start, you need a heavy duty battery 900 cranking amps, if they have stuck a normal car battery on it, no chance! As for the missing fuse, if it ran before it went to the garage and they have not removed it then it is not relavent.

My thoughts exactly on the fuse, I am going over shortly with big battery and jump leads. I was more concerned with the lack of diesel from the pump, he said the electric fuel pump was running, I hope its just not low on fuel!

...eard somewhere you must read 4.5A from the in tank pump, or it is defective
(mine reads 1.01A, but car stills running fine, although a bit lazy and a bit lack of power)
