Hello, it is me mr always getting the bs :rolleyes::D

It took some time getting off the ass, but im back. Ive driven with goblin electronics for a while, culprint bad earth? Eho knows, maybe? anyhow is this battery earth lead OEM? The picture is in middle of the cables whole length. Plants down on the other cable on picture.

Changed it now :)

It cured my LED lights flashing rapidly and pulsation whilst turning on other applications.
It also cured my temperature gauge always staying in the red after it warmed up to operating temp, FINALLY a solution to this problem :D
I had to remove fusebox, and alarm siren to reach the cable and it's "split" at the middle.

My brake booster/abs pump has been dull at ignition for a while now also. Now its speedy!

Time to go over the rear panhard rod bushings tommorow! ;) Hope my vice aint troubling getting the old ones out and new ones in.

Easier to replace the whole rod if, like me, you want the easy option:)

already paid 30 pounds for the oem bushes tho :D Is it not achievable in a vice with a small and a bigger recieve socket? Also, do you grease up the eye before mounting new ones?

Might be OK with a big vice, never done though so I don't know. I would certainly apply a smear of grease on the leading edge. I would expect that the bushes need to be compressed to get them in.
 
well, bugger. i dont have the 24mm 12edge socket, so i cant get the bolts off. New ones were normal edges tho. Would this indicate my bushings are stock from factory perhaps? ill have a look tru my reciepts, if they go so far back from previous owners.. It sure does look real old tho. I couldn't get my finger around to the nut on the axle side of the panhard, does it not have a nut? :D or does the bolt go into the locking plate perhaps, if it has threads?
 
what tool is advised for panhard bushes? /bushes in general? C clamp? Or is that not good enough?

I am thinkering about investing in a 10 or a 12tonne press. But i've heard that 10 and 12 tonns might be, to little?

You need a tool to compress the leading edge of the bush to get it to enter. I think the proper tool is a cone shaped tube.
 
+1 on special tapered tool for radius arm bushes. It also possible using 3 jubilee clamps provided you chamfer one end of the bush. My 10 ton press did them fairly easily using jubilee clip method, although I really needed an extra pair of hands to hold the radius arms level.
 
is LRT-60-004 just for Radius bushes? How does the ones for the panhard bushes look like? I don't know what you mean with compressing the leading edge

i kinda want the best tool for the job, but not the most expensive tool either

Low key regret buying bushings now, as it would just be easier to get a new whole panhard as datatek said earlier.... I guess im just into not wasting useable things :rolleyes:


Someone has lended me this tool (picture) i suppose that should be able to push it out, and in my understanding i should have some kinda ciruclar plate inbetween bush and the rod to spread the load? i heard the bushings should be pressed on the outer edges.

I don't think getting them off is my biggest problem, i have drill bits, blowtorches etc... My main question is getting them on.

The special tapered tool is for the radius arm bushes as they are 2mm bigger than the hole they go in, with the panhard rod the biggest problem is that the part the bush goes in is only thin tube welded on to a bit of pipe so there is not much to seat removal tools on you will see when you get the rod off and if its anything like mine the bolts were bl**dy tight i struggled to get them undone.

Yes, you have to squeeze the bushes to get them to enter the rod end, jubilee clips might work I suppose.
