Are you sure the OBD2 socket is working? Do you have an EAS cable or something else that you can plug in and try just to prove it all works.
Engine ECU, EAS ECU, SRS ECU and BECM all use different pins on the OBD socket and apart from possibly the engine ECU none are OBD compliant.I now have a OBD 2 to usb cord I will use. I do have 12.45v with the key of from the Fuse under the bonnet. I will do some more tests today.
