Can anyone help diagnose an emission failure on an Audi A4 1.8 1995

From the Print out.

Engine speed measurement bypassed

Limits Actual
Oil temp >80 87

Fast Idle Test
CO <0.3 1.47 Fail
HC <200 97 Pass
Lambda 0.97 - 1.03 0.991 Pass

2nd Fast Idle

CO <0.3 1.42 Fail
HC <200 163 Pass
Lambda 0.97 - 1.03 1.15 Fail

Natural Idle Test

CO <0.5 1.61 Fail

From the little I know, air leaks, lambda sensor, MAF sensor, ecu and
or cat can all effect CO readings, but would like some advice on where
to start.

Many thanks.

Then again just looked at the readings, what does the lambada measurement
tell us? Thats a fail too, If the sensor is knackered then the ECU all over
the place. Someone who knows abit more than my stab in the dark will be
along shortly

Tose are my first 2 thoughts - I'd definitely be looking for air leaks
first, followed by testing the lambda sensor.
