Out of interest Nige, has it been reliable? My experience of VW in
the last three years has been utterly dismal. If it wasn't for also
owning a Merc I'd think they were the worst car builders on the
planet... Thankfully, the Passat goes to some other poor sod in a few
weeks and apart from the boot space it won't be missed.

Oddly, our Audis (A3 and A4) have been absolutely faultless over
100,000 miles and 30,000 miles respectively.

It has been faultless, we have had loads of VW's & only once had a real problem.

It is a very nice car, not up to the Subaru, but good enough for most folk!!

The Subaru is easily the best car i have ever owned for reliability & all round performance, not just
speed ;~)
