It struck me as I was digging the soil to put my potatoes in that now the ABS checks are upgraded as part of the MOT (CT here in France) that sooner or later someone will come up with an idea of setting up a chain of garages specialising in ABS diagnostics, servicing and repair across all vehicle makes - like Mr Clutch (do they still exist), wheel and exhaust places, timing belt specialists etc etc etc etc Perhaps they are around in the UK already? Market dictates a need because of ABS failures now coming up regularly at MOTs.

A niche market for someone I would have thought?

Probably not,you may be suprised how good even little independant garages can be at sorting ABS type faults. The scanners supplied by Snap On etc are becoming very good and fault codes are now more descriptive. The scanners ability to show live data from various sensors and switches is also a big help. The trade has its own tinternet forums and helplines, and garages talk to each other more than you might think. All this helps them to build knowledge to tackle difficult problems.
