Hi
I am replacing the oil pump on a friends 1.8 Freelander (2000 model). I have had a look ar rave and it states one of the bils should be a m6x20. When I reomved the existing pump all the bolts were the same. Looks like the previous owner did a bodge job on it as the gasket is covered in orange sealant.
Should I be concerned that one all the bolts were the same and there was not the m6x20 bolt?
Do I need to fill the new pump with oil to prime it?
Anything I need to be aware of that rave doesn't cover

Thanks in advance

Here's the location of the 20mm bolt (marked A) Use new bolts and gasket and make sure all silicone is removed. Priming shouldn't be necessary. If you want to pre-fill the filter, then do so. I'd crank the engine by applying 12 volts to the starter solenoid before starting the engine. ;)
