Hallo.
The crank shaft seal on oil pump has come out of its place. I bough new one genuine LR seal had put it in and after 20 km drive it was blown out again. Firs one wasn't genuine. Could I have some problem with my oil pump? Crank shaft is in place and has no movement.

Yes it's D3 2006 TDV6 I have relatively new pump about 15k km had it done in oficial work shop. First seal was out at 15k and the new one after 20 km. I had it installed inset obout 1mm. Sorry I don't have any photos. Next week I am taking it apart again then I can make some photos.

There's obviously an issue, as the pump seal will normally outlast the pump or the crankshaft.
Can you post pictures of the seal face, but if 2 seals have failed, I can't see the point in fitting another, until the issue issue is identified and rectified.

many thks , indeed 1mm using the special tool , as you’ve had 2 x fail I would personally look at the face etc

might need a new oil pump and seal ,that would great regarding pics, thks

sounds daft but could it be a sign the crank is out of balance , as in the mains are wearing out and causing more pressure on one of if the crank than the other

or maybe a new genuine oil pump and seal is re,monce again sorry asking a daft question, thks

Thks , as it might show something

also wonder if u can put a measuring dial against the crank to ensure it’s not out of spec, hope that sort of makes sense
