10/40 seems a bit thin to me id personally use 20/50 and fill it only thill the dipstick shows 3/4 up from the lowest mark

i thought turbos were supposed to whistle under load just not while theyre idlingit might be that it is happy cos you have changed the oil.

either that or as its been stood fer 5 years could have just siezed the turbo a little and the new oil could have just cleared it out

jc,the oil should be thinner not thicker,if it is to thick it cannot get to the turbo quick enough,whereas a thinner oil can and will.

Yes, you may have flushed out the gunk with the nice fresh oil thats gone in

If its been sitting for ages, and this is the first fresh oil, it might be worth doin a quick change...maybe a change in 50 or so miles?
