Good day guys!
I have a disco 1 300tdi 98.
since I have the truck for about almost a year now I have been struggling with this issue bout a stronger battery 650ce
installed a new eclectic fuel pump but still the Issu .
but when the truck starts it runs perfectly leave it for two hours no problem she starts but leave her true the night same story.

Can some one please help me as this is my very 1st diesel truck.

I'd start by checking that all earth connecting points are clean of rust and tight, including battery terminals, at the same time checking the wire connections to the starter and the starter mounting points as well as the earth connections to the engine block are all sound.

Starter motor wiring, specifically the earth straps, they are crap, to test put a jump lead from earth post on battery to a good earth point on the engine.

+1^.
After doing this and or what I suggested, which was basically similar, the next thing I was going to say is "Try taking a jump lead from the positive terminal to the starter solenoid positive, making sure the engine is in neutral!" His contacts and/ or brushes could just be pants.

I replaced the earth on the battery with bigger 100amp cable .
but not yet on the starter will go replace it right away and get back to u .

My son had similar issue with his 200tdi, it was the actual starter motor at fault.
Took a punt on a "rebuilt" item on Ebay, worked perfectly.
I am lucky enough to have a one-man-band rebuilder locally who always does a brilliant job for not too much money.

My lad also had the same issue on his 90 TD5. Replaced the starter motor and bingo, starts on the button.
