I have recently bought a 93 3.9. I went to use it this morning and it won't start, the engine cranks, fire then immediately stalls, when I attempt to start it again the engine spins but does not fire. If left to stand it will fire and immediately stall again. I have tried everything obvious, checking leads etc.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions for tests to eliminate.

Any help would be gratefully be received.

Sounds like fuel starvation to me.

Check for leaks, I have had to replace all my fuel feed and return lines (and the in tank pump due to the leaking). Pain in the arse as I only need petrol to start on b4 switching to LPG.

When you switch on the ignition you should hear the in tank pump prime itself (once the abs has charged up and stopped making noise)

Is there fuel in the tank !! Dumb question but tank gauges can be wrong.

To check fuel is being delivered from the tank you need to crack the supply line somewhere before the high pressure part. You could do this on the fuel filter on top of the chassis rail in the drivers rear wheel arch, remove the wheel and its easily accessed.

Could also be ignition but don't have any experience there.

Good luck
