no lights on EAS switch or panel(TD6)

My RR screen says "Air Suspension Inopperable" and there are no lights on switch or idicator panel.Have had the battery off ,do I have to reset something.Only had it a week so not well versed in problems yet ,Anybody got a clue.

Take it back. You've had it a week, ask for your money back.

Did I read somewhere that you have to move the steering from full lock to full lock on the L322 to do a reset?

That will only work if the light on the EAS hold height button is lit, if there is no lights on the panel at all I would check the fuses in the glove box

fuse 27 now refitted,lights on .tried the steering lock theory ,still says auto sus inactive.also have beep about every minute when driving ,all doors shut and seat belt on .Is this beep to say Look at your screen instructions ?

It will need the fault codes clearing probably before it restarts the EAS system. Mine did the same and the garage told me its the start of the air compressor letting go, I had it reset in May and its still okay now. I couldnt reset mine with the lock to lock trick

The lock to lock trick will only clear soft faults, like battery disconnection that type of thing... not major hard faults, for this you will need to connect it to a diagnostic system or EAS kicker type thing.

Bought as seen and private sale are not beyond the law and i think there are statutory protections that automatically cover any kind of bill of sale. You needn't necessarily take it back to him but if it ends up costing you to sort it, keep your receipts, spend some time googling consumer protection, fair trade, small claims and all that and hit 'im with it.

Hi Everyone, i had a similar fault on our 55 plate TD6 of no Air Suspension lights on and the car suspension says its lowered, when i first start it the lights come on and after a few seconds they all go off for good.
I have left it switched off for about 30 mins and then went to reset it by turning the wheel from lock to lock and its fixed it..all works ok..
Can anyone explain that...
