No drive

Hi.

My son has a problem with his 90. when in gear the drive to the frount axle turns but the landy dont move. I have taken the shaft off and the diff feels knackered. The thing im not sure about is that when he puts it in gear with the shaft off it still dont move. Is this how it should be? or has he a problem with the box that splits the drive to the 2 axles.

With the front propshaft off, you will need to engage difflock to make the wagon move itself.

In what way does the diff "feel knackered"?
