Just found out that I've got no brake lights!

I've not long had the truck but I knew she had a few little niggles (fuel gauge and temp gauge sometimes go right to maximum for no reason and the diff light flickers when not in diff lock and comes on solid when I press the brakes!

I'm pretty **** with electrics but was wondering if they could all be earth related?

My gauges did that, it was the earth cable on the back of them came loose.
So i would guess earth for the rest but i am also **** with electrics:D

None of this is irreperable...just needs to be sorted in a logical fashion.

For example, loook at the schematic for the car (you do have one, right? ) and follow the wiring. Yu've got +12 to the switch from the ignition key via a fuse, then from there to the lights. Get out your test lamp and get to the back of the switch - see if you've got 12 volts there. Have someone hit the brake pedal and see if the switch is working, then move on back to the tail lamps themselves.

I would tend to suspect the switch before earths if both are out, but hey it's a Landy - who knows? :) Had duff sockets (both of them believe it or not, and new genuine Parts) before - so don't doubt anything.
