Newbie looking for help

hi guys ,i have only just joined the site and live in devon,after a long time dreaming about owning a landy i have just come into a position of being able to do something about it ! i have just put a deposit on my first landy its a defender 90 td5 and i should pick it up around the 12-17th of nov, at the moment its just a basic van with a refurbed winch being fitted before collection, but i will be adding a few more goodies when i get it back !.
I have come against the first stumbling block !( i know its been done to death but despite searching i cant find an answer!) i am looking for insurance quotes ! and all the on line companies ask for modifications ,as i said its having a winch fitted and i intend to fit rock sliders ,tub sliders, front screen hoop, snorkel ,wading kit and guarding underneath ! then better wheels and tyres ,when i try to list the mods it either locks me out or returns no quotes at all !, only one so far at £350pa what do you guys list for mods and do you notify them of any further mods as you make them?
Any recommendations for insurance companies welcome !

Insurance depends on 1,835 factors, none of which you have named..ie age, ncb, where you live, where it will be kept, etc etc...

£350? Take it if you're 17, look around if you're 92.

CHEERS STORM i feel like im 92 but in reality im 51, kept on drive and only for social use ,full ncb and drive another car ,as i said live in devon ! but spent a lot of time in penkridge and bradley and stafford so probably SHOULD BE BANNED not sure about the other 1,831 factors

Same vehicle, similar age, live in wickfork.£ 150 fully comp and they know about the mods.its a Highways policy through an agent Graham Sykes strangely they are in Devon

Will it be your only vehicle?

If not, try frank pickles and Lancaster. Im with frank pickles, they only take modified landys, limited mileage to 5k a year, must be your second car, they don't take ncb nor give it out.

I think mine was about 160 fully comp.
